Some shareable snapshots

I was biking home yesterday, and I saw a man carrying about 12 sedated chickens. He had 2 boxes with 4 chickens in each one, and he had another 4 by the feet. I think he had been carrying them from the bazaar – about a 15 minute walk. I said, “Uncle – can I help you? Stick your chickens on the back of my bike.” (now there’s a sentence you can’t use every day). He draped the 2 sets of 2 chickens on my handlebars and stacked the 2 boxes on the back. We walked to his house, which was on the way to mine, and had a lovely chat.

I was walking home today, and I saw a man plucking a pigeon. He said it just got hit by a car, and he didn’t want to see it wasted. Although I appreciate seeing things not wasted, it was a tough picture of how difficult the winter can be for some people.

Two years later, I still can't walk in muddy slush without getting covered in polkadots.

I’ve gone on several hikes with friends lately. Here are some snowy pictures from a 3 1/2 hour hike yesterday.

Here are some more from a snowier hike 2 weeks ago.
