quack

While jogging on a snowy path yesterday, I had a couple of realizations. The first is that I have better running form when in the snow. I pick my feet up instead of doing my usual shuffle/hobble (to that kid who quacked at me in high school suggesting that I ran like a duck…I dare you to quack at me now!...at least while there’s snow on the ground). The second is that my ankles feel a bit stronger from running on the slightly uneven terrain. This is a big deal for one who has had 6 or so ankle injuries.

At the risk of sounding trite, it was a nice reminder that obstacles can lead to better form and to the strengthening of what was weak.
