silly moments

Some silly moments in the last few days:
- last night before Exchange started (a conversation hour before a colleague's class), 3 of us started lip synching to the song Total Eclipse of the Heart (from the one dude's phone). Lip synching turned into loud belting - the one dude sweetly singing "Turn around bright eyes" and me doing my best impression of Bonnie Tyler "Every now and then I fall apart..." Yep, my throat is sore this morning. But, ha!, it was very funny.

- I started English Conversation Club Tuesday night with Michael W Smith's Place in this World. (I felt a little ridiculous - but no one here has heard of it...). During the long electric guitar solo, I started playing air guitar - and got a little too into it. When the chorus repeated for the umpteenth time, I yelled, "Sing with me!" (sounding a little Phantom-esque). Most of the group joined me: "I'm looking for a reason - roaming through the night to find my place in this-sa world...my place in this-sa wooooorld." Too funny - and I was wondering why they were so crazy wound up the rest of the night...

- During a friend's half hour lunch break, we went shopping. She tried on a few cute shirts - and I decided to try on a few, too. I didn't find anything but maternity shirts that I could get over my head, so I was basically acting like a 12-year-old trying on mom's clothes. ...Uh - it was funny in the moment.

- On a mini-picnic that I went to on Sunday, I brought silly string (which my mom, cool lady, sent me for my birthday). Silly string - especially used with people who have never seen the stuff - makes for silly moments, too.

Eh - it eases the tension...
