We rented a bus and took a crew up to Mirush - a place 2-ish hours away by bus and another 30-ish minutes on foot with several levels of waterfalls. The first level is nice and all, but the 3rd and 4th levels are quite fantastic. We swam behind one waterfall into a cave, jumped off a 10-meter rock (one dude jumped off of a xx-meter rock - I was practically singing opera watching him), and climbed around like little exploring adventure monkeys.
We went with 15 people from a short-term team, 10 M-types, and about 20 local friends from youth, English Conversation Club, and ESL classes. Although a bit awkward at first, there were a lot of introductions and, eventually, chats. Hooray for getting to see a piece of Beautiful Kosova. Hooray for connections. Hooray that the rain stayed away until the bus ride home.
[surprise detour - a Serbian enclave, Gracanica, wouldn't let buses through after 6pm that night because it was the day of unveiling the parallel government plan. So...the bus ride home through another town was a bit of a killer. Eh - all the more potent salt in close proximity time]
